Physics Faculty Publish Q1 Research on Advanced Gas-Sensing Technology

Anurag University proudly congratulates Dr. M. Srinivasa Reddy, Professor and Head, and Dr. Ch. Sameera Devi, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, on the publication of their research paper titled “From Band Gap Engineering to Gas Sensing: Co-doped CdWO₄ as a High-Response NH₃ Sensor at Room Temperature.” This achievement reflects their commitment to advancing scientific research and materials innovation.
The study explores how band-gap engineering and co-doped cadmium tungstate (CdWO₄) can be applied to gas-sensing technology, with a focus on developing a high-response sensor for detecting ammonia (NH₃) at room temperature. The research contributes to ongoing efforts to advance materials for effective gas detection.
The paper has been published in Sensors and Actuators: A. Physical, a Scopus-indexed Q1 journal, with a reported Impact Factor of 5.1. This publication highlights the Physics Department’s research contributions and commitment to scientific excellence. Anurag University congratulates both faculty members on this achievement and wishes them continued success in their research endeavours.
