Faculty Team Secures USD 8,000 Seed Grant for Renewable Energy Research
Anurag University faculty members Dr. A. Muni Tanuja, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering; Dr. P. Saritha, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering; Dr. Surendra Babu, Professor, Department of EEE; and Dr. D. Krishna, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, have secured a USD 8,000 seed grant from Cintana Education under Cintana Research Call #4. The research is being undertaken in collaboration with Lac Hong University, Vietnam.
The funded project, titled “Fast Renew Asia: Comparative Feasibility Assessment of Solid Waste-to-Energy Systems in Dong Nai (Vietnam) and Yapral (India),” focuses on assessing the feasibility of converting solid waste into energy across the two regions. The collaborative study brings together expertise from Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering to explore sustainable and comparative waste-to-energy solutions.
This achievement highlights the faculty team's commitment to interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, and sustainable technology development. The grant also strengthens opportunities for collaborative research with international academic partners and contributes to research efforts addressing emerging energy and environmental challenges.
