EEE Faculty Publish Research in Q1 SCIE-Indexed Journal Scientific Reports

Anurag University proudly congratulates Dr. D. Krishna and Dr. B. Srikanth Goud, Associate Professors in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), on the successful publication of their research paper titled "Deep Actor–Critic Reinforcement Learning (DA-CRL)-based Multi-Objective Optimal Control of Solar PV-Integrated UPQC for Power Quality Enhancement in Smart Distribution Networks" in the internationally acclaimed journal Scientific Reports. The journal is indexed in SCIE, ranked in the Q1 quartile, has an Impact Factor of 3.9, and an impressive H-Index of 382, underscoring its global research prominence.
The research presents an advanced reinforcement learning-based control strategy for improving power quality in smart distribution networks integrated with solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. By leveraging Deep Actor–Critic Reinforcement Learning (DA-CRL), the proposed approach enables multi-objective optimization for Unified Power Quality Conditioners (UPQC), enhancing voltage stability, reducing power disturbances, and improving the overall reliability and efficiency of renewable energy-integrated power systems. The study contributes to the growing field of intelligent energy management and supports the development of sustainable and resilient smart grids.
As the global energy sector increasingly embraces renewable technologies and artificial intelligence, research of this nature plays a pivotal role in addressing real-world challenges in modern power systems. The publication not only showcases the department's expertise in intelligent power engineering but also reinforces Anurag University's commitment to advancing high-impact research that supports innovation, sustainability, and technological progress in the energy domain.
