Most people at a university event are busy enjoying the moment. Click Cadets are busy making sure that moment lasts forever. Founded in 2012 by three photography-obsessed students, Click Cadets has grown into one of Anurag University's most beloved clubs a tight-knit team of 50+ photographers, videographers, and visual storytellers who show up to every event with drones, gimbals, and an eye for detail that honestly puts a lot of professionals to shame.
From Campus Corridors to Hyderabad's Biggest Stages
Click Cadets covers everything on campus from small departmental functions to large-scale festivals. But their work has taken them well beyond Anurag University. The team covered the IEEE CAS 2023 Asia Pacific Conference at T-Hub, drawing appreciation from international guest speakers. They've shot the International Health Conference at Shilpakala Vedika and been part of TEDx Hyderabad representing the university at events that carry real weight. Each assignment pushed the team further, raised their standards higher, and added another chapter to a story that keeps getting better.
Learning by Doing — The Click Cadets Way
There's no experience barrier to joining Click Cadets. If you're passionate and willing to learn, you're in. Juniors are paired with seniors at live events, which means learning happens in real time not in a classroom but in the middle of a shoot where things move fast and you figure it out as you go. The skills members walk away with go far beyond framing a shot. Patience, communication, adaptability, and teamwork are built naturally into every assignment. As one member put it "It's a place where we grow together, working with different people and capturing moments that shape us for the real world."
A Lens on the Future
The students behind Click Cadets are doing all of this while juggling a full academic workload showing up at 6am for shoots, staying late to edit footage, and never once treating it as optional. That kind of discipline doesn't happen by accident. It's baked into the club's culture, where professionalism is simply expected. For some Cadets, photography stays a lifelong passion. For a growing number, it's becoming a genuine career path into cinematography, content creation, brand photography, and media production. Whatever direction they take, the foundation Click Cadets builds goes with them.
